Meet Your Teacher
Former MOE English and Literature teacher, Curriculum Designer, English Teacher Trainer

Hi, I'm Esther Peh
Founder of English Mastery
This is my story.
Some years ago, I began noticing a worrying pattern: more and more of my students were anxious, burnt out, and constantly second-guessing themselves.
Before coming to EM, many had tried tuition and exam-format drills, but real understanding still felt out of reach.
That didn’t sit right with me.
I didn’t want to just teach. I wanted to make a difference.
I didn’t become a teacher just to help students chase grades blindly. I became one because I believe English is a powerful subject. English shapes how we think, write, and express ourselves. And I wanted to teach it in a way that actually helped students build those skills, step by step.
So I created EM.
Every lesson is built with intention and care.
At EM, I personally design and teach every lesson. I don’t outsource. Why? Because I know how much thought and care it takes to teach well, especially when it comes to the O/N-Level and Singapore-Cambridge English exams.
Every recorded lesson is structured to be clear, focused, and relevant to the SG-Cambridge syllabus. No fluff, no rushing, no confusion. Just well-paced, carefully explained learning that actually makes sense.
“If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.”
– Albert Einstein
It’s the kind of teaching I wish more students had access to, and the kind I’m proud to offer.
So if you’re a parent who wants your teen to finally feel confident in English…
Or a student who wants to learn at your own pace, with real support...
Welcome to EM.
This is more than tuition.
It’s a place to think clearly, write powerfully, and grow deeply.

I’d like to share my sincere appreciation to you for piquing Nayoung’s interest in English and new ways of learning.
This definitely played a part in her achieving good results. Nayoung really enjoyed her journey!
😊 Thank you again!
